Why does the production of grease require shearing and homogenization?

broken image

The freshly made grease is very rough and looks like a lot of particles. After homogenization and grinding, itbecomes very uniform, fine and bright. This just refers to its appearance, andin essence, the base oil and the thickener are fully mixed to be more tightlycombined. Homogenization and grinding turn the grease into a gel-like object. Professionallyspeaking, homogenization can keep the grease colloidal stability and mechanicalstability at the most suitable level.
