The double sigma kneader was developed by Heinz Reese, and the technology became quite popular once it appeared in the processing industry.
In 1966, Heinz said that "high concentrations of materials are more efficient and more economical than low concentrations during operation". Heinz believes that processing high-concentration materials means less or no solvent, which can maximize the process profit per unit volume. Handling high-concentration materials itself is a very complex and challenging job. In order to better handle high-concentration materials, new technologies need to be developed.
So he set out to develop a process technology that was reliable and capable of handling phase transitions in highly concentrated materials, the so-called "dry process".
Derivatives in China
In 1967, the double sigma kneader was introduced from the former Soviet Union and entered China, mainly for the production of nitro slices and nitro explosives.
Now double sigma kneaders are widely used in the mixing, kneading, crushing, stirring, vulcanization, repolymerization, etc. of high viscosity, high elastic-plastic materials. The kneader has the advantages of uniform stirring, no dead angle and high kneading efficiency.
Why do you need a double sigma mixer?
From organic fertilizers to nitro explosives, from silicone sealants to lithium batteries, from car putty to pigments, from air conditioning shock absorbers to anti-corrosion tapes, from chocolate to ammonium polyphosphate flame retardants, from hot melt adhesives to shield grease , from BMC to CMC and PAC, from catalyst to asphalt highway repair bandage, from composite manhole cover to silicone rubber, from bubble gum to pencil lead, from plasticine ultra-light clay to PVC plastisol glue, from collagen casing to polyacrylamide, from printing inks to casting release agents. . . . . .
Without our awareness, the double sigma kneader has developed from the chemical machinery industry to other industries, and it has become more advanced, efficient and more in line with the production needs of an industry.
You have known it for a long time, but you have to look at it with new eyes all the time, and constantly transform it with an innovative angle.
